Woofer Dust Cap Dent

When my son was small, he inadvertently (as children will do) threw a toy which happened to go into the throat of one of my A-7?s. It produced a dent in the dust cap about the size of a quarter of the 416A. This son is a dentist now so that shows how long ago it?s been. Sound doesn?t seem to be different from the other A-7 but I was wondering if there?s an easy way to fix this, aside from major woofer surgery.

To fix the twenty year old dent try some sticky tape applied to the dent and pull it out.

J shaped paperclip thru pores of dustcap pushing up the dent also works

I'd make him pay you back, have him pay to recone the two woofers at Great Plains Audio.

If not the other suggestions should work fine, if a crease has developed it will never pop out completely so don't go overboard trying to make it perfect.
